Pocket Legends (iOS/Android) will celebrate its One Year Anniversary by giving away all main premium areas starting today.

Cinco Loco explains:

New and existing players will get full access to:

  • Balefort Castle
  • Fathom Crypts
  • The Lost Expedition
  • The Ancient Swamps
  • Balefort Sewers
  • The Alien Oasis Trilogy

These premium areas will remain free until Monday, May 4, 2011.

One Year Anniversary Fast Facts:

· Upwards of 3 million people have played Pocket Legends

· Pocket Legends is currently played in 200 countries

· Pocket Legends has been updated more than 200 times

· The technology backbone of Pocket Legends -- the Spacetime Engine -- took five years and 10 million dollars to build

If you're one of the legion of Pocket Legends players, or if you've been sitting on the fence, there is good news from the world of Alterra. Starting now and running until May 4th all premium areas are free to both new and existing players. I haven't taken the plunge, yet, but this may be just the thing to get me to try it out.

Oh, and check out the video; it's a riot.

New 3D Sci-Fi MMO Game Coming to Android

Posted by Craig Horlacher in "Android Software" @ 09:00 AM

"Blackstar tells the story of 41st century conflict between the ruthless Scorn, a race endowed with arcane powers granted by alien gods; the Riven, necro-cyborg beings allied with the Scorn; the futuristic humans of the United Colonies Defense Force, and their robotic allies known as the Mode."

Spacetime Studios' has developed what looks like a visually stunning and immersive MMO for mobile devices. Due out the second quarter of this year Blackstar will run on Android and iOS devices. Some of the features include three customizable character classes, thousands of items, social tools, and world-wide, multi-player, open-world game play. I'm not much of an MMO player but this does look like an amazing 3D Sci-Fi game. I just may have to try it out! Make sure you go to the Blackstar website for more information and to check out the other screen shots in the gallery. Is this a game you'll be watching for release of?

Pocket Legends Receives Holiday Update: Now You Can Pummel That Goblin With A Giant Candy Hammer

Posted by Jason Lee in "Android Software" @ 06:00 PM

http://www.pocketlegends.com/

"Spacetime Studios is ready to celebrate the holidays with the High Winter Festival update for Pocket Legends (iOS/Android). Spread the yuletide cheer with new quests, loots, and combat areas sure to fulfill your MMO cravings this Christmas."

It's time to get your holiday game on! Spacetime Studios have added quite a bit of special holiday content to Pocket Legends, the super cool MMO in your pocket. The free content is all of one quest and a set of antlers for your character (yes, my warrior bear looks rather silly now). Anything beyond that will require you to plunk down some of your hard earned cash to get some in-game platinum. The new winter level is 10p then there are various equipment packs you can get for your character to dress them up as seen above. These range in price from 10p to 25p depending on your character's level. If you are below level 50 you can pretty well hook yourself up for about $5. I don't think that I'll pick up any of the silly gear but the new winter level and quests might be worth a few it. Any Pocket Legends players out there tried any of the new content?
